Altholz, 2023. Old wooden objects. Approx. 2 x 2 x 2m. Commission for Kunsthalle Hilsbach, Bavaria, to make a sculptural dividing wall in the Ladies Restroom. Since the Kunsthalle is firmly attached to the old farm it is situated within, and it’s owner family, I opted for a construction made of only found objects from the farm itself. The wall and doors are made entirely out of wood, and every piece of wood was sourced from somewhere on the large farm with all its buildings. They were all found on top of the barn, somewhere in the large basement, in one of the old flats or workshops.
